Engineered oak flooring that has been sanded and finished by applying two applications of Bona matt lacquer in Islington, London N1. The engineered oak floor is a rustic grade therefore there are filled knots present along with sapwood, which are the lighter colored areas of the board. This type of flooring is also known as character grade, these grades have a more vivid colour variation than a Nature or Prime grade flooring. The advantage of having a lacquer applied instead of an oil reduces the risk of the wood floor staining in the event of accidental spills.
