White lacquered engineered wood floor in a London Mews property

We have just completed this installation of a white lacquered engineered wood floor in a London Mews property. This engineered, European oak, nature grade board  has been brushed and pre-finished with a White polar lacquer. All the lengths are set at 2200mm which gives a stunning appearance to the  finished floor.

The floor was installed within the lounge and bedroom areas of this London Mews property. The lounge area was installed by secret nailing to the existing timber sub floor using a Powernailer. The expansion gap required to the perimeter was covered by a quadrant detail, coloured to match the floor.

The bedroom, being that it was situated above the lounge, was laid as a floating floor onto an acoustic underlay. This gave a reduction in impact noise to the lounge when walked over. The expansion gap to the perimeter was covered with the same coloured quadrant as that used within the lounge.
