Raymond Peters Ltd use the latest belt and disc sanding machines that are incredibly efficient in that the sanding process is virtually dust free. Our hand held sanders and buffers are also of the latest technology.
Raymond Peters use these sanders to sand back the hardwood floor to the bare wood. Once this is done we use the sawdust that the sanding machine has collected which is then mixed with a resin to create a paste that is exactly the same colour and texture as the hardwood floor. The paste is then applied to the entire wood floor. This covers and conceals any dents, scratches and scuffs that have accumulated over time.
Once the paste has cured the hardwood floor is then re-sanded , progressively using finer grades of abrasive discs and buffers. We complete our sanding and sealing service by applying a minimum of two coatings of wax, oil or three layers of lacquer depending on customer preference.
